Cleaning and disinfection of the property

  • At the Royals Gate Hotel we use specific medically prescribed sodium hypochlorite products for all surfaces at the proper dosages, supplied by an accredited company
  • Weekly sanitisation of air conditioning coils and air changes is conducted
  • Each common area is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected following specific procedures
  • Outdoor areas are disinfected every 2 weeks (but more often based on flow)
  • Areas in contact with the public are continuously disinfected.
  • The lifts at the Royals Gate Hotel are disinfected several times a day

Cleaning and disinfection of the rooms

  • The rooms are disinfected at every check-out
  • The linen is supplied by an accredited company for bio-contamination
  • We use specific medical and sodium hypochlorite-based products for all surfaces at the correct concentrations, supplied by certified company

Safety distances

  • In common areas: our spaces are large and it is possible to maintain a distance of one and a half metres from other guests
  • In the refreshments and dining areas: breakfasts and dinners are served in full compliance with the social spacing required by law
  • Breakfast is served as "table service" or "room service"
  • Meals are served to far fewer people than the total capacity of the rooms with a guaranteed social distancing of 2 metres.

Booking and Deposits / Vouchers

  • You can cancel your booking up to 10 days before your arrival date, the paid deposit will be refunded
  • The refund is complete and without penalty
  • In case of a cancellation sent less than 10 days before the arrival date, a penalty of 100% of the deposit is applied
  • You can request to convert your deposit into a voucher of the same amount for your next holiday.
  • You can transfer or give your voucher to relatives/friends.
  • You can request to change your arrival and departure dates, depending on availability in our property.

Guests

  • The use of a mask inside the hotel is not compulsory but it is considered good practice when moving around the corridors and common areas, and we all use it to ensure both your and our safety.
  • Access to common areas of the hotel is only permitted while wearing a mask (also available at reception).
  • A containment protocol for suspected Covid-19 cases has been prepared and can be put into action at any time by the Covid Manager
  • Please maintain a distance of at least 1 metre from other guests and staff members.
  • Do not stand on sofas or tables in the lobby.
  • Do not leave personal belongings or luggage in common areas.
  • Only one person is allowed in the lift at a time - if you have no special needs, please use the stairs.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a handkerchief in case you sneeze.
  • If you have a fever or flu-like symptoms, please inform the hotel staff.
  • Thermometers are available at receptions to conduct body temperature checks.

Staff

  • The entire staff of Royals Gate Hotel is equipped with virus containment devices (masks and gloves) for their own safety and that of our guests
  • The entire staff has been trained in hygiene standards and protocols so that they can work safely for themselves and others.
  • You can contact our Covid Manager/staff if you have any concerns, questions and to report any symptoms in order for us to take all necessary precautions.

Animation

  • Entertainment activities are guaranteed in compliance with the social spacing of at least 2 metres.
  • Activities such as beach volleyball and table tennis are only guaranteed if they are practised individually and not in groups.
  • Gym equipment may only be used with the guest's towel and is disinfected after each use.
  • Children's entertainment activities are designed and organised so as not to create crowds and to ensure they have fun in safety
  • Children's recreation areas are cleaned and disinfected when used.
  • Outdoor entertainment is permitted while maintaining the interpersonal distance of both the entertainment staff and guests by positioning seating at the appropriate distance.

Beach

  • Access to the beach is permitted and must be controlled through an entrance and exit.
  • Hand sanitiser dispensers are placed at the entrance to the beach and along the main walkway.
  • There must be a minimum distance of 7X5 metres between sun loungers on the beach.
  • The same family must use the same sun loungers with their own towels until the end of the holiday, they will be disinfected periodically
  • Bathers in the water must respect the measures provided for social distancing and move away if approaching people who do not belong to their household.
  • Lifeguards must ensure that the rules are observed and that social distancing is guaranteed.

Pool

  • The water in the pools contains chlorine, which is a protective and acts as a disinfectant. It is therefore possible to access it by diligently observing the basic rules of each pool as well as social distancing. Lifeguards will supervise that the rules are observed.
  • In order to maintain adherence to social distancing and the ban on crowding, the pool may be used in shifts and not at maximum capacity.
